The west side Erie, PA neighborhood known as Little Italy extends east to west from Sassafras to Cranberry and north to south from 14th Street to 19th Street. It contains about 1,100 residents, 148 businesses, 14 social service organizations, and eight churches. It is a neighborhood as rich in diversity as it is in tradition and history. Formerly composed almost entirely or Italian-Americans, the neighborhood is now home to a diverse assortment of races, ages, and national heritages, yet it maintains its roots with the Italian-American community and is home to the annual Italian Festival as well as many popular Italian restaurants and clubs.

The Little Italy Neighborhood Watch is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and improving the neighborhood. Meetings are held in the basement of St. Paul’s Church at 16th and Walnut at 7:00pm on the first Tuesday of every month. Membership is free and isĀ open to anyone who lives, works, owns or rents property, or otherwise has an interest in the safety and well-being of the neighborhood and its residents.
